Insas Berhad, an investment holding company, is engaged in diversified businesses in Malaysia and internationally. The company is involved in financial services, and credit and leasing businesses that engage in stock broking and dealing in securities; credit and leasing, and granting loans and other related financing activities; providing share registration and management services; and offering nominee agent services. It is also involved in property investment and development operations, which comprise property holding and investment, project management, and property management and development. In addition, the company is engaged in the retail and trade of high fashion wear, leather goods, and other lifestyle-related products; provision of wine products; operation of food and beverages outlets; and provision of car rental services. Further, it designs, manufactures, distributes, and sells smartcards, and semi-conductor products and equipment; produces wireless microwave telecommunication products, and wireless broadcast cards; provides electronic manufacturing services; manufactures and distributes computer peripherals; designs and develops software and Web applications, and provides communication and networking services;It offers sales and services for mobile wireless and fixed line broadband solutions and devices and related peripherals; provides voice call, data, and multimedia products and services; offers secure payment gateway services for e-commerce community; and provides multimedia and electronic products, and IT consultancy services. Additionally, the company also operates as a computer hardware dealer, as well as provides computer hardware maintenance services. The company was formerly known as Paper Products (Malaya) Berhad and changed its name to Insas Berhad in October 1987. Insas Berhad was incorporated in 1961 and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
